Story twists???

possibly leave her in critical condition and at that point, because doctors are not sure whether she will make it, have them give birth to the baby. let the mother hold the baby for a few moments as they stare into each others eyes right before she dies. this scenario would still contain the drama, but allows the reader to feel more and give them the comfort that she at least have the opportunity to hold and love the baby
