1996 cavalier all instrument lights came on now car stalled and wont turn over wont even click on the solenoid?

my mother in law was driving a 96 cavalier when all the instrument lights illuminated but the car ran fine. Then the car started stalling, finally today the car stalled then when she went to turn it back on it was like the car was electrically dead. any suggestions?
