Ear pain, sore throat, fever and congestion?

I went to the doctor 2 days ago with ear pain and a sore throat. He told me I had swimmer's ear and gave me some drops to put in my ears. Last night i had a fever and my throat hurt even worse. My ears still hurt and now I'm congested. Does this sound like a sinus infection?
