HPLC prep: after I centrifuge the whole broth into pellet & supernatant, can I just run them via HPLC?

I am trying to run my sample via HPLC and trying to avoid using any alcohol (i.e. ethanol) for solvent extraction. Thus I was wondering if it is possible to just run the supernatant without any prep work.
