What part does prosperity doctrine have in your life, did it work for you? Were you able to be reasoning?

Prosperity in my life is MUCH more that financial gain. Prayer for these things have worked for me, but not without action. I, strongly, believe in prayer, but I, also, believe that our Heavenly Father expects action out of us. When we have a need or desire in our life..we should ask...then seek...then knock...to get it (as one of our brothers in our yahoo...prayer group has suggested). Ex. When I was teaching, I desired to become a Special Education Administrator, I could have just prayed and expected results, but I prayed (asked my Heavenly Father for guidance in the path to get there)...Then I began to seek it by taking administrative cles, working on my MSE...and putting my name out there as an upcoming administrator... Once I completed my education in the field, I started knocking on doors...to find a position...and did immediately...This is one of my ideas on obtaining prosperity....but financial gain is a very small part of my ideas on it...
