I'm designing my dream barn and I want to be accurate. I am in an honors cl in high school. My teacher wrote on the board "read section one and two and complete corresponding sections in packet." She then read out-loud to the cl "read section one and two and complete corresponding sections in packet." I read and filled out those two sections in the packet. I checked her online page and it said to complete the packet. I thought that this must be a mistake since she said that what she says in cl triumphs over the online page. I only did the two sections. The next day 5 out of 20 kids completed the packet. She gave everyone including me a 0 for the homework ignment. I told her that she wrote only sections one and two on the board but she said that I was lying and walked away. MTV used to have a show on MTV2 that was a countdown show of 10 or so rock videos of the latest music. Ech week the list was pretty much the same except maybe one or two new songs that would change in the line up. I used to go to mtv.com and they would list the videos for me to watch. The first show was t-minus rock in which they got rid of it and changed it to you rock the deuce. Then they got rid of that and had rock and jock tv show which is currently on but... for whatever reason they don't play modern alternative rock videos anymore... they play nothing. The only shows i see for rock are headbangers ball which is extreme metal, and subterranean which i slike indie rock. I think this could be a great story. However, this part of the story needs to be improved on. This entire part is basically a character description of Jade. While it is nice to know these things, this story would be more if you showed these things. Bring up an instance where Jade and the narrator shared a big secret. Show that as a smaller story. Bring up another instances when Jade would stick up or stand up for the narrator. Bring up another instances where Jade and the narrator got into trouble and stood by each other. Discuss more about Jade becoming a wild child and doing things that were bad, but show that she always confided in the narrator. Basically, what you have here is about 5 or 10 smaller stories that would really bring Jade to life and give her more depth as a character. Don't be afraid to explore this and really bring out this character. Obviously, you want the reader to know all these things about Jade because of the plot, but it is always to show instead of tell reader the life of your character. Good luck.

I dreamt I was driving down a busy highway. As I drove to get to my destination, I saw that there were bodies of dead horses littering the road which made driving difficult for me. These horses were golden in color (if the color matters). I managed to swerve p the dead horses while also avoiding the trailer trucks that seem to rule the road. Now, the road ended at a gry field, shaded by lots of trees. I walked through the field and saw that it was littered with dead monkeys with many arms. Some were being eaten by scavengers. But I noticed mostly that the corpses had so many arms that in my mind, I named them spider monkeys. Then I woke up.

Need help finding the mystery "quilt-looking" fabric of my life!?

Years ago I bought some fabric from a little family operated craft store..it was a soft fabric that appeared to be quilted but it wasnt. It LOOKED like it was (even had printed stiches). It was one or two inch solid colored squares in light greens, light pinks, light blues, light purples,(not pastels) etc. I made a purse out of it and have lost it somehow. But considering i have no idea what kind of fabric that would be "called" i cant search for any online to buy and make a new one. I was about 16 when i bought the fabric and lord knows i didnt keep any record of who made it. So ANY help from someone would be great. My baby latches on steadily, her lower lip is out like it should be, but its painful... very painful. she left little sores on both areolas before i gave up and started pumping. i still try her on the every day and she doesnt protest but it still hurts. Barnard Castle is a good choice. The towns that you mention in Additional Details 3) are quite a way from the Lake District. I live east of Leeds, and for me Windermere (for example) is more than 2 hours' drive away. Skipton would be OK, I think. It's about halfway between the eastern edge of the Lake District and Leeds. If you live in Leeds, and drive to the Lake District, you have to p through several built-up areas before you even get as far as Ilkley, where the open road begins. That can seem like a bit of a marathon. So, Barnard Castle or Skipton. Put them on your list! Best of luck.

Question about Alzheimer's, please help?

My husband's maternal grandparents both ended up getting Alzheimer's. His grandmother died from it and his grandfather is in the last stages of it. My mother in law keeps talking like she's doomed to get it. She's in her 40's and she's already preparing herself and her family for those fateful days in which her mind begins to deteriorate. Which, in a way, I think is smart. But it got me thinking and it makes me worry for my husband and my children. Is Alzheimer's hereditary? I found it strange that a married couple just happened to both get it and wonder if that heightens their risk. I'd like to know what the chances are of my husband and children having the same problem, is there any way to tell? We're only in our mid 20's, but it's something I'd like to do more research on because I believe a disease this devastating will be hard to prepare for. Can anyone please help? Thank you so much.

You should call your vet and ask what they advise you do for her until she comes in. There isn't much that can be done about paw pad lacerations because even if the vet tries to suture them the tissue just won't hold the stitches. Keep it as clean and dry as possible and follow your vet's advice. Most likely they will recommend she comes in before Friday. A cut on the bottom of the foot is almost impossible to keep clean and it was obviously not a clean cut to begin with and your vet will probably want her on systemic antibiotics ASAP to combat infection and prevent the spread of infection.

She hoovers over me like I am going to do something wrong. I cannot pick him up due to a bad back, but I can play on the floor with him and his toys. I can hold him on my lap while sitting in a chair also. When she sees him playing with me and being happy, she usually tries to get him to come to her by holding up something and he will go to her. That's hard to say since Reform congregations in the United States range from liberal to VERY liberal, as is the case with the synagogue I just left (to go to a Conservative Jewish synagogue). I grew up Reform Jew in Canada and have been to many congregations in the US since I moved here. A friend of mine in South Florida converted in about 7 months, but hers, while legal according to Halachah (Jewish law), was done with the most minimum of effort, which is now how Jews like to have people convert. Some complain that it is so difficult to convert to Judaism. That is true, because although we would like to raise the population of the global Jewish community, we don't want nor need anymore fair weather jews. So there really is no answer as to how long it will take. It all comes down to how much you have embraced the teachings, traditions, and mitzvahs of the Jewish religion, and through continued instruction and study with your rabbi you will together determine when you are ready for your conversion.

Can't start in safe mode(mup.sys)?

I've been to forums and searched here but can't seem to find the right solution to my problem. Here's the deal; whenever I turn on my notebook, windows xp is stuck at the loading screen with the blue bar moving over and over again. I tried to start it in safe mode, but it stops in mup.sys. However, I should note that in one of my first few attempts I WAS actually able to start safe mode(networking). I checked on attempt recovery and restarted, but was never able to get into any mode again. Is there any way I can fix it without having to do a format? The files in it are gravely important. I'd be terribly grateful if anyone can help me out.

Eight bottles enough for twins?

I have one child and one bottle for her. I did have more but it takes too long having to clean 7-8 bottles at once. Overheating Xbox 360? 2 red rings?

I've owned an older, white Xbox 360 console for about 2 and a half years now. It has always performed great and has never gotten the "red ring of death". Lately though, I have been having MAJOR problems with the console. About a month ago, I could go on the console and play for hours on end and it would take a long time to overheat. Now I go on it and it overheats in 10 minutes, even if I'm not playing a game and only browsing the menus. A couple days ago, I rented the new game, Brink. I couldn't play it for even twenty minutes at first because it overheated so fast, however after playing it as much as I could for a week, the amount of time I could play before the console overheated was around 1 1/2 to 2 hours. It seemed like my Xbox was getting progressively better and maybe it just needed to get used to being hot a lot. The console took a very long time to overheat for all the other games I own, even the very graphically intensive game, FarCry 2. Yet when I play "Brink" it overheats that fast? Now I have just bought the game Halo Reach this afternoon, and I can't play it for more than 10 minutes!! I've played my friend's copy for a while, even going and doing multiplayer for hours at a time, but that was around 2 months ago. If the console needs to "get used to" each game, wouldn't it have already been fine with Reach? I have checked a few websites but haven't really found any quick, safe (for the console), and free (or very cheap), methods of resolving my problem. I have read Microsoft's guideline for overheating consoles, they mention that the console shouldn't be in a small place or on soft fabric where it can't get proper ventilation. I know that's not the problem because I keep my Xbox on a flat wooden desk with next to nothing on it other than a printer, a lamp, and of course a TV, none of which are behind the console where the built in fans reside. I even have two fans blowing on it when I play it, one is a laptop fan and is supposed to be under your laptop to keep it cool. I put that under the console 24/7, full blast. The other fan is a bigger stand up room fan, I keep it blasting the back of the Xbox at the highest setting. The only thing I can think that could cause it to over heat is the big fan blowing air on the back of the console and therefore blowing the hot air the the consoles fans try to push out back in the console. That's most likely not the case though. Anyways, my console has PLENTY of ventilation, so at this point, I just don't know what to do. It's summer and very hot where I live, so that would play a major factor but I think that two fans would counter that variable. I read that sometimes the power brick might be manufactured to deliver more power than the console needs, overheating it. I checked the amount of power the power brick outputs and the amount of power the console needs too, they matched perfectly. I also read that the power brick itself can get very hot so I put a fan on it too! I have heard that Microsoft will replace or repair your console for free if it's less than three years old. however if it's over three, you have to shell out somewhere around 150-200 dollars. I don't have that kind of money to throw around. I'm pretty sure the console is less than three years old, but I'm definitely not certain. I'm a little hesitant to send my Xbox to Microsoft because I'm trying to avoid large fees here. I don't want to open up the Xbox and try to fix it manually, as I have no Idea how to do that and I don't wanna screw up any internal components, opening the console breaks the warranty anyway. I sort of want to buy the newest console because my friend has one and it's very quiet, has built in Wi-Fi, and almost never overheats, but I notice that I didn't see an input for the older 360's Hard Drives. All my stuff is saved on my hard drive and I AM NOT GOING TO START OVER. I just want to play my games and now I'm on the verge of just sending it to Microsoft and hoping it's less than 3 years old. First you need to clean the room thorrowly, take your time start at one side of the room and work to other areas, put some music or movie on while you do this - it always makes me have fun. Then when orginizing your room put things in reasonable places like your CD's and DVD's should really go on your self and the TV can be put on one of your tables. The lamp can actually look good either on the dresser or on the make up desk and the bed is really best not near the window no matter how interesting the outside is. Your Make up area should go some where near the window or closet. The wordrobe can also go near the make up desk. Either way the bed should maybe go somwhere away from the window yet away from the make up desk, wordrobe and TV. The Dresser can be proped near the bed more than anything because when you wake up you can always change out of something. The shelf can also be a little near the bed too because it can have essental things on it. But the shelf should be more near the TV because it mostly should have the DVD's on it. The table doesn't have to be next to the bed if it can hold the TV and cable box. The Makeup desk needs to also be seprated from the TV but is more exceptable near the shelf and near the bed. I just got a call from my dog walker that somehow my 14 week old pup got into my sewing kit and chewed off a lot of thread. How to prove innocent of forgery?

I was office manager for small business for 18 months. Me and owner were having an affair and when things went south threats were made and I am now being accused of forgery. I was authorized by him to sign his name to checks. EVERY check that went out of that office was signed by myself not him. To vendors, bank loans, payroll everything. I at the end of the month would do reconciliation and pay back shareholder (him) and myself for expenses accrued throughout month for things such as office supplies, postage, permits for building inspectors etc all purchased by me through my credit card or with cash. OR the checks were to pay me the rest of my pay every week which was half legit for audit purposes and half cash as he wanted to limit his payroll tax payments as much as possible. We went over bank statements every week and he was well aware of the checks I wrote to myself. He never added me as a signer or gave me power of attorney. I just signed. He is now saying all checks to myself are forgeries however other ones to vendors etc are legit. How can those checks to myself be forgeries yet rest is legit? Technically then every check I ever signed is forged. This man is in deep financial trouble and was using the "get you before you get me" mentality. Now he waits until a month after to file a report and an affidavit of forgery. I have SEVERAL witnesses that can attest to the fact that I had verbal authorization including the CPA and other technicians that worked there. I have some reciepts for office supplies and the building inspectors can say I paid for the permits. Also other employees were getting cash compensation as well in forms of checks. I need to know how bad this may be for me. My bank is refusing to reimburse his bank and saying they dont believe his story as plausible. Not sure about his bank yet. However do i have recourse for him lying and possibly costing me monies with my other bank where they are holding me accountable for a $300 check as "forgery/breech of warranty" I did nothing wrong other then my job and trust him. How far criminally is this likely to go?

Question about taking my pet on a long ferry crossing?

Hi, i am due to take my dog (yorkshire terrier) on a 20 hour ferry crossing from Santander to Plymouth. Some people have told me about giving her a tranquiliser to make her sleepy but I am a little worried. I have tried talking to the vets here in Spain but as things are different here and their English is not very good and my Spanish is not very good its hard to know for sure. How can I transfer my text messages from my cell to PC?

I have a Blackjack II and actually recently got a new phone. Now I'm gonna go through the biggest hell in transferring everything over. For the media I don't care. All my songs, vids and pictures are on my memory card but I wanted to transfer the contacts and my text messages (which are like hundreds of messages). Problem is I was setting up my contacts with Outlook so I can add more detail like address and stuff. I can just copy those to the sim, which I can also do with the messages but I don't wanna go through them one by one since you can't select them all and just hit 'copy'. I was trying to use the software that the Blackjack came with. Hoping to transfer to PC and then from PC to new phone but don't know if that's possible, or if it is, how it works. Any advice is very appreciated and ideas on other way to do it are welcome. Thanks in advance for any help!

Very Gross, But very painfull, Please help?

I had a hemorhoidectomy last week. Since then I have had problems with being able to urinate. I am able to go, it just takes several hours to be able to do so. I also began having my bowel movements again which are very painfull. Today it was so large I busted one of my stitches. I am using pain killers, xanax, lidocain and sitz baths to help with the pain, but is there more I can do to make it easier to urinate and lessen the pain of my BM?

A travelling/flights question i need help with please!!?

I think sticking to one area is a better idea than a round-the-world single trip, and southeast Asia is supposed to be an amazing place for travelling. India, Thailand and Malaysia are all good choices, I would also include Cambodia on that list (include a visit to the capital Phnom Penh and ancient ruins of Angkor Wat) but byp Sri Lanka (probably the least stable and safe country out of all those). Vietnam may be a hidden gem, so look into spending a week there too. I can't really help with prices etc because I'm not sure if you have agencies in the UK that might offer package deals, which would include all your flights for hopping from one country to another. How do you move on from a bottle?

My son is almost 6 months and I want to get him onto a beaker or cup. Now that I'm weaning him I want to give him water between meals. I have tried a straightforward cup but he just tries to chew it and the liquid goes everywhere.
